On October 15, 2023, nursing experts from Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College accompanied German experts to visit the Center. Visiting experts included Wolfgang.Reuter, Operation Supervisor of German-Chinese Medical Society, Sabine Girts, Vice Chairman of German-Chinese Nursing Association (DCGP), Sven Keitel, Director of Nursing at Nuremberg Clinic Mental Health Center and Chairman of NAGS (Germany) and Jiang Qiumei, ENP Research Center of RECOM GmbH European Nursing Path. The exchange meeting was held at the meeting room at the 10th floor of Erqi Area. Li Yi, President of the Center, Zhong Baoliang, Deputy President, Han Li, Director of the Nursing Department, workers from the Nursing Department, representatives of head nurses and other backbone talents attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the seminar, President Li Yi extended his warm welcome to the visit of German experts and experts from the Nursing Department of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College .
Deputy President Zhong Baoliang provided a detailed introduction to the general information, welfare functions, specialty characteristics and development routes of the Center. Sven Keitel, Director of Nursing at Nuremberg Clinic, explained the planning, management mode, specialty characteristics of the Nuremberg hospital and personal research areas. The two parties carried out in-depth discussions on professional problems.
At the end of the seminar, President Li Yi spoke highly of the development of psychological medicine in Germany and made deployments on future cooperation, communication, dispatch of exchange scholars and building of cooperation mechanism. German experts expressed their praise and gratitude about the achievements made in this exchange, as well as their cooperation intention in terms of personnel training, talent cultivation and project exchange.
The seminar was concluded by a visit of German experts to the sleeping ward of the Center accompanied by Deputy President Zhong Baoliang and Director Han Li. German experts provided detailed descriptions on the setup, treatment concepts and work mode of the sleeping ward.
The seminar ended in jubilant discussions and visits. Despite the conclusion of the seminar, the communication between the Center and Klinikum Nuernberg just began. We believe that future communications and mutual promotions will go a long way in improving mental health nursing levels of both parties and bringing more benefits to mental and psychiatric patients from both China and Germany.
