Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier Science Direct issued the 6th Edition of the World's Top 2% Scientists 2023, which selects 2% from nearly 7 million scientists worldwide across 174 subfields and 22 fields. Hong Baoliang, Associate Chief Physician of this Center, was included in the List of Science Influence of the Year in the World's Top 2% Scientists, ranking the 4th among the mental health field in mainland China.
The World's Top 2% Scientists List calculates the ranking of scientists based on indicators like the standardized paper citations, H index (to evaluate academic output and level), H index adjusted by co-authors, number of citations of papers sequenced by different authors and comprehensive C score (focusing on influence and sequence of co-authors and author), providing objective, truthful and comprehensive indicators measuring research performances and influences for global scientists. Hong Baoliang's entry to the list means that he and his research team have a high worldwide influence in the field of mental health research and have made significant contributions to the development of this area.
The listing is not only a sufficient recognition of the candidate's personal research competence, but more importantly, it reflects the Center’s accomplishments in its attention to academic output and talent cultivation in recent years, playing a positive role in advancing the Center’s disciplinary building and development and expanding its global influence. In the future, the Center will continue to adhere to the policy of “Prosperity Driven by Scientific Research, Teaching and Talent”, constantly optimize research environment, accelerate the innovation in talent cultivation and push forward disciplinary development and innovation to make greater contributions to the mental health cause in China and even the world.
